Programs

Land Hearts creates opportunities for artists to experiment, develop their practices, exchange knowledge, and explore more sustainable approaches to creative work.

For the broader public, Land Hearts creates opportunities to learn from and participate in creative practices that deepen our relationship to land, natural resources, and the environment.

Land Hearts was incorporated in June 2026. Since then, we’ve been focused on developing programming, partnerships, communications, and fundraising, and we’re excited to announce our first three programming initiatives:

WATER

RESIDENCY

Inaugural cohort residency focused on artists’ relationships to water in partnership with a Tennessee-based water conservancy.

PENNY

AND DONNIE

First performance - an experimental adaptation of Euripides’ Bakkai set in Cade’s Cove, Tennessee, developed in collaboration with The Pause.

CENTRAL APPALACHIAN

REUSE AND EXCHANGE

MANUAL

The C.A.R.E. Manual, an artist-designed publication exploring reuse as a creative and cultural practice across Central Appalachia.
